St. Louis, MO — Bick Group announced today that it saved the most energy for a data center client out of 800 projects that were part of the Ameren Business Energy Efficiency Program in 2010. The St. Louis utility Ameren Missouri recognized Bick Group for its energy conservation work in local data centers. Ameren presented the award, ‘Efficiency Excellence – Largest Project’ at Ameren’s annual Trade Ally awards banquet in January. According to Ameren Program Manager Scott Steiner, “Bick Group has applied innovative thinking to the data center space, and we would like to recognize that.”
One of Bick Group’s specialties is improving data center efficiencies for clients by magnitudes of 30 percent to 50 percent. The Ameren program was a natural fit. “We are in a fortunate position to bring the Ameren program to data center operators in the region. The industry is moving toward efficiency, and we can provide unique energy conservation measures through our understanding of the data center space,” said Jon Jonz, Energy Practice Lead at Bick Group.
